4Girls GLocal Leadership (4GGL) Founder, Jin In, is electrifying a movement calling for bold actions to uplift the world’s girls. To do so, she knows one fundamental reality must transform – the mindset that sees (then treats) girls as “trash” to a 1 billion strong, powerful force for change. Jin’s initial 4GGL work has catalyzed local action for over 500,000 girls around the globe. Today, she speaks and lectures worldwide to inspire a new generation of innovators and changemakers. To amplify the mission and social change movement, in partnership with YouTube/Google, she is creating a revolutionary initiative to show and follow the journeys of 7 Millennial Women Changemakers in 7 different countries.
Jin’s passion and mission is rooted in her own life story. From age 8, Jin has taken action at the grassroots level through community service and social justice advocacy. She has also served her nation’s girls for the US Secretary of Health, over 10 million girls in 145 countries with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, and the world’s girls at the UN with over 1000 civil society organizations. Jin is frequently interviewed, and has been published in the Huffington Post and other news sources. She works with the Obama Administration on US National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (UNSCR 1325), advocating for bold foreign policies and strategies for girls. She is the youngest Spirit of Trinity University Awardee honored for her dedicated service to the global community. She is also in the documentary film One and the book Around the World in 50 Voices as a global thought leader and changemaker.
